Here we go again………’The Bachelorette’ currently airing on ABC with the new bachelorette trying to find love. Back in 2016 we were introduced to JOJO (Joelle Fletcher) from Season 12, who was a runner-up love interest from Season 20, ‘The Bachelor’, rejected by Ben Higgins, but eventually found love with Jordan Rodgers, whom she is still with. Her season was filled with humor, fun, romance & issues.
Then we moved to someone name Rachel Lindsey, who looks a little like actress (Robin Givens) who was looking for love with Nick Viall, but ended up becoming the First Black Bachelorette in the history of the show & she represented well. Her season 13 presentation was humorous, colorful, romantic & racial at times. What some Black fans (& Whites) wanted to see was her choosing a nice Black guy, but she fell in love with a Hispanic chiropractor from Miami, named Bryan Abasolo, whom she’s still involved with.
NOW…….we move to BECCA! This girl came out of ‘The Bachelors’ Season 22, since the Producers decided to not use any of the men from Rachel’s Bachelorette season as the tradition of the show normally does. I guess too many strong Black men to choose from with the fear that they would keep it Black, so they reached back to 6 years ago & got Arie Luyendyk, Jr. who was in love with the then 8th Season Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, but she rejected him for Jeffrey Holm. And after watching his run being The Bachelor, people went from seeing him as someone to feel sorry for to…….WHAT A DICK! He ended up choosing Becca Kufrin to marry, the show ended, they were suppose to live their life together, till he had a change of plans & broke her heart to get with the other girl he rejected, Lauren Burnham, whom he is still with. So now we see Becca on TV looking for love……………………………..
